Behind the Scenes at AHEM: Erin Matica

Erin Matica is an AHEM board member and longtime friend and supporter of AHEM. She and her husband Danny will have been married for 28 years this July. They have five unschooled children (ages 16-26) and their first grandchild is on the way. They live on a small organic homestead farm in the Berkshire Hills of western Massachusetts where they grow vegetables, herbs, and fruit. However, their main focus on the farm is dedicated to conserving endangered breeds of heritage livestock and poultry. Exploring the world together as a family as their children have grown up has been an immense joy and pleasure. If Erin could do it all over she wouldn't change a thing about their unschooling adventure!
