Mark your calendars for South Shore Home Learners first homeschool bowling of the season!

When: Fri. Sept 5 @12:30p
Where: Alley Kat Lane, Kingston
Cost: $6 per bowler (includes 1 hour of bowling & shoes) - they have not set their prices for the fall yet so this may vary slightly

Pizza will be available for pre-order again! It will be available at 12:00 pm so that the kids can eat before bowling and the cost will be $1.50 a slice. If you would like to join us for pizza YOU MUST MAKE SURE TO EMAIL ME BY THURSDAY MORNING with an approximate head/slice count as I need to call and order the pizza to make sure there is enough available!!! There are drink machines available at the alley and the only request from the owners is that we keep the pizza at the "picnic" tables and NOT near the alleys or the computers!

Please plan to arrive a few minutes early so that the kids can be given their lane assignments. Lanes will be turned on promptly at 12:30 and the hour starts then. We have available and most of the kids use bumpers so ability is never an issue! Handicap ramps are also available upon request.

For More Info or Questions Contact Gina @ gckhomeschool@gmail.com

Hope to see you there!

It's that time of year again when our kids don't "go back" to school. Good time for a picnic!

Where: Fort Tabor Park (AKA Fort Rodman Military Reservation) in the south end of New Bedford. We'll meet at the playground.
When: Wednesday, September 9th at 11:00. Rain date Friday, Sept. 11th.
Who: Open to all homeschoolers & their families, anyone even thinking about home schooling, and former homeschoolers who want to catch up with old friends.
What to bring: Picnic lunch, blanket, and sunscreen. This is a great site for flying kites, riding a bike, and rollerblading. There is a paved walkway that runs the perimeter of the park. If you’re into Letterboxing, there’s a box hidden here. There's also a beach. It is a beautiful place. If you've never been there, then come down just for the view. You can see the Elizabeth Islands & sometimes even the Vineyard.
For more info: schomeschoolers@yahoo.com

So join us for food, play, & chat! Hope to see you there.

All the best,

A-OK Homelearners will be hosting a Not-Back-to-School Potluck at a member’s home in Arlington. Rain date will be Monday, September 14th.

The location has a large yard with varied terrain where children can play games or run in a sprinkler. Please bring food or drinks to share – whatever you know your family will enjoy eating or drinking. We will provide paper goods and a gas grill will be set up if anyone wants to bring stuff to grill. We also recommend that you bring insect repellent and chairs or a blanket to sit on. If it is warm enough, we will have a sprinkler going, so plan accordingly. It would be nice if you brought outdoor games – we have room for badminton, volleyball or croquet if someone has the equipment. This is the perfect way to meet members of A-OK if you have not had a chance to do so.

Please RSVP to Kimberley at k.a.harding@comcast.net or 781-648-4454 to get directions.
